Take Hold Of What Jesus Has Taken Hold Of For Us

Good morning dear family,
Praying all God's favour and peace upon your week ahead.
As we go about our week, the Lord laid upon my heart Heb 13:3 that says, "Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself. Remember also those being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in your own bodies"
All across the world, thousands and thousands of our fellow believers are going through really tough times because of their faith. Many are being brutally tortured, see their children killed before their very eyes, their homes burned to the ground, many ostracised and marginalised from the rest of society, thousands thrown into prison for years and many prevented from even meeting together to pray or worship their God.
The Scriptures encourage us to remember them. I believe this is for several key reasons:
One to identify with our wider spiritual Body because we are one, and when one part of the body pains, the rest pains too.
Two, we can uphold them fervently in our daily prayer - for God's supernatural strength and grace as they go through what they do. We can also pray for their persecutors - that their eyes would be opened to the true God and Savior of souls
Three, we can appreciate the freedom we still enjoy where we are - freedom to worship, freedom to follow our faith, freedom to meet together and freedom to share the good news of Jesus with those around us
We are in a season when we are remembering the heroes of our nation - brave men and women who fought with their lives so that we can enjoy the freedom we have in our land. We remember their legacy, what they stood for, their families and the price they paid, and we honour them.
Let us remember our fellow believers - who are relentlessly standing for what they believe in, paying with their lives, continuing to spread the message of freedom, Christ's freedom, keeping His flame burning - they need and deserve a few minutes of our prayer each day.
Let us keep the flame burning ourselves family - right here where we are, whatever the cost. It's a cause worth dying for, it's a cause worth living for. Our reward is not an earthly medal, but the joy of partnering with our Lord and Savior to see the souls of men and women saved for eternity. Ours in not an earthly feud, but a spiritual battle that has eternal consequences. Ours is not just a battle involving freedom on earth, but a battle involving freedom for eternity - the message of Christ that speaks of freedom from sin, freedom from death, freedom from the curse, freedom from satan, freedom from eternal damnation and freedom to eternal life with the Father forevermore.
Let me close with these powerful words from Phil 3:12, "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me."
Let us take hold of that for which Christ Jesus has taken hold of us !!!
Have a wonderful week ahead family. Love you all.
